• Check in time: 3:00 PM/ Check out time: 11:00 AM.
• Cancellation policy: Individual hotel reservation cancellations will be allowed until 8 March 2027 5:00 PM (GMT+9) 14 days prior to arrival. Any cancellation occurring within 14 days prior to arrival OR guest no-show, 100% will be charged to guest directly.
• All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card at time of booking.

Visa Letters

If you require an NDSS Symposium letter of invitation to support of your visa application, please submit your request to [email protected] as soon as possible. Please do not include any sensitive or personal data in the email. You must be registered and paid the registration fee in order to receive a visa letter.

Important Information on Traveling to the Seoul, Republic of Korea

Starting January 1, 2027, all foreign nationals from visa-free countries (112 nations), including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK, must apply for a K-ETA before traveling to South Korea. The current exemption for these travelers expires on December 31, 2026, making the authorization mandatory for entry from January 1, 2027 onward. 

Applying for a K-ETA (Korean Electronic Travel Authorization)

• You can apply for this at any time, but need to apply at least 72 hours before traveling to Korea.
• Apply at www.k-eta.go.kr or by downloading the K-ETA app on your phone.
• Items required for application
  • Passport (photo of inside and verify passport information)
  • Real time picture of yourself 
  • Travel itinerary  
• Pay application fee = 10,000 KRW ($7–$10 USD), excluding additional online transaction fees. Payment is made via credit or debit card, and the fee is non-refundable, even if the application is denied.
• Application is viewed and can take up to 72 hours to review and be approved
• Application results will be shared with you via email 
• By doing the K-ETA application you do not need to also fill out the arrival card upon arrival in Korea
  • Unless your information changes prior to arrival 
• Completing the K-ETA application makes the immigration process into the country smoother, but does not guarantee entry into the country.

Other Suggestions for Traveling to Seoul

• Stay informed about any specific advisories issued by your home country regarding safety and security in the Republic of Korea.
• COVID-19 entry requirements may also vary by origin country and could frequently change. It is your responsibility to check and comply with all COVID-19 entry requirements imposed by the local Government.
• Review Basics of Korean Etiquette and become familiar with local customs and expectations.

Transportation

The closest airport to Seoul is the Incheon International Airport (ICN). The InterContinental is approximately 60-70 km (40 miles) from the airport. Travel time by bus or car is around 80 to 100 minutes depending on time of day. 

The most convenient way to get to the hotel from the airport is by the Korea City Airport Limousine Bus or the K-Airport Limousine.

Taxis are reliable and convenient options and “International Taxis” have English-speaking drivers upon request. Taxis are stationed right outside arrivals at ICN

• Cost: Approximately ₩53,000 – ₩70,000+ (depending on type and traffic)
• Travel Time: Approx. 80-90 minutes from ICN to the host hotel, depending on traffic

Private Transfers or Airport Taxi Vans can be booked for groups and can be booked through Klook or Traze.
